Violife has launched Supreme Cheddarton, a new plant-based alternative to cheddar cheese, which is the first in its category to be a high source of protein. The product also contains 30% less fat than traditional dairy cheddar, making it a potential option for consumers looking to reduce their fat intake without compromising on taste or texture.

Currently available in Sainsbury’s, Waitrose, and Ocado, the 200g pack of Supreme Cheddarton is priced at £2.95. The product will also be introduced to Asda and Morrisons stores in early July.

Next-gen plant-based cheddar
Crafted from premium plant-based ingredients, Supreme Cheddarton is designed to replicate the flavor and texture of traditional cheddar. It is described as having a rich, mature taste, with a crumbly yet creamy texture that melts easily. The product is also free from the top 14 allergens, including dairy, gluten, and nuts, and contains no artificial preservatives or GMOs. Additionally, it is fortified with vitamin B12.
The company, recently recognized as Canada’s number one dairy-free cheese brand, has captured a significant share of the market and continues to lead innovation in the sector.
