Mooala, an organic plant-based milk brand based in the US, has won two major awards for its Simple Almond Milk.
Good Housekeeping named the product Best Almond Milk in its 2025 Snack Awards, while SELF also recognized the beverage as Best Almond Milk in its 2025 Pantry Awards.
The milk alternative has been praised for its short ingredient list — it contains just almonds, filtered water, and a pinch of Himalayan pink salt, along with organic vanilla in the Vanilla Bean variety. The Mooala Simple line also includes Simple Oat Milk, which has a similarly short ingredient list.
“We all care about what we put into our bodies, and that’s what inspired Mooala Simple,” said Mooala founder and CEO Jeff Richards. “You don’t have to rationalize or use AI to explain the ingredients in Mooala Simple — it’s simply made with awesome ingredients you would find at home. And we keep the price reasonable. It’s rewarding to see this passion for affordable simplicity reflected in the recognition from Good Housekeeping and SELF, two of the most respected voices in wellness.”

“Consumers are demanding fewer ingredients”
The Mooala Simple products were first introduced in 2023 to meet the growing demand for organic, shelf-stable milk alternatives without additives. Mooala also offers a variety of other plant-based milks, including the popular Banana Milk line that combines bananas with ingredients such as sunflower seeds and cinnamon.
Last year, Mooala launched a new line of single-serve Banana Milk products at Sprouts stores across the United States, available in three flavors — vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. The brand also introduced a Barista oat milk product, which is claimed to steam and froth more effectively than many leading alternatives.
“More than ever before, consumers are demanding fewer ingredients and many prefer organic options,” said Richards. “Our Simple milks address both needs at a size and price point that makes sense for a wide range of shoppers.”
