Billy and Jeff are a married couple who live in Palm Springs and make candles. Not in a workshop or studio—in their actual kitchen. Together, they hand-pour small batches of candles under the name Palm Springs Candle Company.
It’s no small feat, though; the entire candle-making process takes about eight hours from start to finish. They melt the soy wax, add their curated fragrance blends, pour each candle, and let it cure without any shortcuts or outside help.

If you’ve walked through downtown Palm Springs on a Thursday night, you may have seen them at Palm Springs Village Fest, standing behind a table lined with candles and rainbow flags. Their setup is simple and local, and up until recently, that’s where most people discovered them.
Now, their collection is available to shop through The Pride Store, an online marketplace featuring LGBTQ+ brands and makers.

Clean ingredients, thoughtful design

The candles come in clear glass jars with black metal lids and minimal branding. There are no dyes, no added colors, just natural soy wax and a straightforward design. Each one is made with an organic cotton wick and burns for 70+ hours.
They’re also dye- and phthalate-free by default, without marketing gimmicks or buzzwords.
For those who prefer a flameless option, Palm Springs Candle Company also makes a simple, sleek reed diffuser that blends in easily with any space.

Fragrances with personality
The scent names, including Pool Cabana, Leather Daddy, , and Lumber Sexual, carry a bit of tongue-in-cheek charm, but the candles themselves are super practical and thoughtfully made.
These aren’t just for show; they’re meant to be used and enjoyed. Even Pride!, with its fruity mix of pineapple, mango, and acai berry, feels like it’s right at home on any coffee table, and not just out on display during June.
You can shop the full collection now on The Pride Store, alongside other queer-owned brands that deserve a little more space and visibility.
