This summer, Bravo’s guiltiest pleasure is Next Gen NYC, a reality TV spin-off, of sorts, which follows the young offspring of many a Real Housewife, as well as their friends as they all try to make a name for themselves in the big city.

With its focus on Gen Z, the series is naturally more queer inclusive than the rest of the Housewives franchise. For example, Brooks Marks—the son of Salt Lake City‘s Meredith Marks—finally gets to step into the spotlight, speaking openly about his sexuality and his boyfriend on his terms.

There’s also influencer and model Emira D’Spain, who doesn’t have a Housewives mom, but who holds the distinction of being the network’s first trans full-time cast member.

How about we take this to the next level?

But there’s another queer star in the mix on Next Gen NYC, and if he looks familiar to you, there’s good reason: it’s Dylan Geick, a self-described “digital entrepreneur” who previously made headlines when he came out while competing as high school wrestler.

Flashback to 2017, when Geick was a star wrestler at Stevenson High School outside of Chicago, IL, where he made waves in the wider high school athletics community by coming out as gay.

At the time, he told our sister publication Outsports what it meant for him to finally share his authentic self, and shared his relief that he was still accepted by his friends, his team, and the school at large:

“It just so happened that all of those kids, even those who maybe had a homophobic view before were able to see past that, and are still my friends, and we are much closer even now,” Geick said. “As a higher-level wrestler, with a decent amount of respect from the wrestling community, I think they had the respect for me as a wrestler and an athlete that that stuff wasn’t going to matter.”

His profile continued to rise as he began wrestling at Columbia University, thanks especially to his relationship with then-boyfriend Jackson Krecioch, a YouTuber who frequently posted cute content about their romance.

Over time, Geick became recognized as a social media star in his own right, and was selected to consult the NCAA on athlete compensation. Though he dropped out of Columbia in 2019 and enlisted in the U.S. Army, Geick has continued working as a writer, poet, influencer, and model, carving out a path of his own.

Still, when Geick first popped up on screen on Next Gen NYC, it was like a blast from the (not-too-long-ago) past.

True to the Real Housewives format, the former wrestler is not technically a full-time cast member, but is introduced as a recurring “Friend Of”—specifically, he’s roommates with star Charlie Zakkour, a cryptocurrency trader who grew up around NYC nightlife thanks to his wealthy parents.

Again, Geick calls himself a “digital entrepreneur,” explaining on the show that he’s always “just made money on the internet,” whether YouTube, Twitch, or “whatever the new app is.” But there’s one platform in particular where you really rakes in the cash:

“Most of my money, these days, comes from OnlyFans,” he revealed in the second episode of the season.

And it’s true: right there in his Instagram bio is a link to his page, which he’s not afraid to admit is “a place to fearlessly objectify my physical form in support of an artistic lifestyle.” Currently free to subscribe to, it features plenty of skin, but is decidedly tame—unless you want to shell out a little extra for some pay-per-view content.

Interestingly, the contents of Geick’s page was a recent talking point on Next Gen. When Zakkour tells his father, Anwar, about his roomie’s source of income, it seems the patriarch is wary of what might be going on under the roof he pays for.

But Zakkour defends him, to a degree, saying he mostly uploads “sexy photos and leverages his muscles” as opposed to more overt, explicit content. “At a certain point, you just gotta respect it, you know?” Exactly! It’s a living!

Come to think of it, what Geick does with his free time seems to be on the minds of a few of the Next Gen dads. In another episode, Zakkour tells Marks’ father, Seth, that Geick identifies as either bisexual or pan (so he’s clearly gone through some personal growth since coming out as gay as a teen). In response, a contemplative Seth shares that he might be pan, or fluid, too—who saw that coming!?

For all the conversation he’s starting, you’d think Geick would be getting more screen time on the show, right? Who knows—there’s still plenty of season to go, and maybe they’re priming him to join the cast full-time if it gets green-lit for more.

But, hey, if he wants to keep showing off online to pay the bills in the meantime, you won’t hear any complaints from us.

New episodes of Next Gen: NYC air every Sunday night on Bravo, and stream the next day on Peacock.
