Rebellyous Foods has introduced three new products under its Spicy Kickin’ line, which include Spicy Kickin’ Nuggets, Spicy Kickin’ Tenders, and Kickin’ Popcorn. The products will be available for order starting July 7, 2025, and the initial focus will be on school districts, restaurants, and foodservice providers across the United States.
“Our customers have expressed a strong desire for more flavorful, plant-based alternatives”
The new items join Rebellyous’ Spicy Kickin’ Patty, which launched in fall 2024. The company’s plant-based offerings are designed to appeal to both dedicated vegan consumers and meat eaters, offering a spicy flavor profile in formats that align with consumer preferences for both snacking and meal options.
“We’re excited to expand our spicy product line with Nuggets and Tenders that offer the same flavor and crispy texture as our popular Spicy Kickin’ Patties. The new Kickin’ Popcorn was developed to meet consumer demand for bite-sized snack options that satisfy both plant-based diets and meat-eating consumers,” stated Christie Lagally, Founder and CEO of Rebellyous Foods.

Rebellyous Foods has seen significant growth, particularly in the K-12 school sector, and now serves over 390 school districts, impacting more than 5 million students nationwide. The company recently secured a $2.4 million investment and has partnered with Dot Foods to expand its distribution capacity, enabling more schools and foodservice establishments to offer plant-based options. Rebellyous’ products also comply with the USDA National School Lunch Program requirements, an important consideration for school foodservice operators.
Rebellyous hits the road
The company plans to present its latest products at several industry events, including the National Association of College & University Food Services Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah, from July 8-11, the School Nutrition Association Annual National Conference in San Antonio from July 13-15, and the State Conference in Spokane, Washington, on July 28-30.
Lauren Pitts, Senior Foodservice Account Manager and Dietitian at Rebellyous Food, commented, “Our customers have expressed a strong desire for more flavorful, plant-based alternatives. These new products are easy to prepare and meet the nutritional standards required by school nutrition programs, making them a convenient and planet-friendly option for foodservice operators.”
