This year’s Men’s Health Week, held from 9–15 June 2025, marked a new chapter in community mobilisation and public awareness, led by key organisations in the men’s health sector including the Australian Men’s Health Forum (AMHF).
AMHF launched a dedicated national platform – menshealthweekevents.com – to capture the full breadth of events across the country. The website quickly became the go-to destination for individuals, organisations, and communities looking to get involved. Over 70 organisations, local councils and community groups showcased diverse activities and initiatives, both in person and online, reflecting the broadening scope of men’s health.
Community and Connection
Across the country, grassroots and major organisations stepped up to host powerful, creative and impactful events. Highlights included:
- The Men’s Table panel discussion on the value of preventative healthcare.
- Mosman Council’s Men’s Health Expo, featuring a morning walk, physiotherapy, pickleball, and a BBQ.
- Walking Football 4 Men’s Health Victoria, promoting movement and mental health across generations.
- Multicultural Families Organisation’s luncheon in Robina, QLD, under the theme Bridging Generations: Strengthening Families, Supporting Change.
In Brisbane, TradeMutt founders Daniel Allen and Ed Ross shared their story of using high-vis workwear to spark mental health conversations. Across the country, hundreds of men joined Man Walks, or formed their own groups, supported by the Heart Foundation, which gave away 400 pairs of ‘I love walking’ socks to those who registered.
Events also raised much-needed funds and awareness, such as the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia’s annual Walk for Him and Men’s Talk Au’s 49km Bike Ride Challenge for the Shaka Project.
National Lunchtime Health Chats
AMHF’s popular online lunchtime chats returned in 2025, attracting registrations from over 500 organisations nationwide – a testament to increasing demand for flexible, accessible health education. Topics included:
- Prostate Cancer led by Mark Jensen (Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia)
- Stroke Awareness led by Stew Greig (Stroke Foundation)
- Men’s Health Facts led by Glen Poole (CEO, AMHF)
- Ask Your Pharmacist led by Brad Butt (Founder, Men’s Health DownUnder)
- Helping Mates led by Jonathan Bedloe (Men’s Resources Tasmania)
These sessions were attended by councils, government departments and universities across every state and territory, including Flinders University, ACT Government, Worksafe Victoria, University of Newcastle, SA Government, NSW Dept. of Health, and more.

Spotlight on the Facts: Know Your Man Facts
AMHF’s “Know Your Man Facts” campaign continued to gain momentum, with CEO Glen Poole presenting a session based on the newest toolkit: 10 Things We All Need to Know About Men’s Health. Nearly 100 attendees joined live, with dozens more downloading the toolkit, sharing the materials on social media, or using the free Men’s Health Week poster in their workplaces.
Toolkit graphics and facts were embraced by organisations across the country – from Ambulance Victoria, Relationships Australia WA, and Whitsunday Suicide Prevention Network, to local MPs and health services.

A Growing National Movement
As awareness of Men’s Health Week continues to grow, AMHF remains committed to building the capacity of individuals and organisations to become men’s health champions. Whether through a morning walk, a lunchtime webinar, or a social media share, this year proved that more people are wanting and willing to support and improve the lives of Aussie men and boys.
