Laird Superfood has introduced a new product designed to meet the growing demand for protein-enriched beverages in the United States. The Protein Instant Latte, a powdered mix, combines plant-based protein with functional ingredients to offer a convenient, all-in-one coffee alternative.
Each serving contains 10 grams of protein derived from a blend of pea, hemp, and pumpkin seed protein. Additionally, the latte mix includes MCTs from coconut, as well as extracts from organic mushrooms including Lion’s Mane, Cordyceps, Maitake, and Chaga.
“Protein is having a moment”
The product is aimed at consumers seeking cleaner, plant-based protein options to support daily nutritional needs. Laird Superfood CEO Jason Vieth remarked, “Protein is having a moment—and for good reason. Consumers are looking for cleaner, smarter ways to incorporate protein into their daily routines as they recognize how protein helps maintain strength and stamina.”
He also explained that the company had previously led the market with its plant-based protein coffee creamer, Laird Superfood Protein Creamer, and views the Protein Instant Latte as a natural progression in their product offerings.

72+ trace minerals
Beyond protein, the latte powder also contains Aquamin®, a multi-mineral sea algae complex. This ingredient is a source of bioavailable calcium, offering 72+ trace minerals designed to enhance energy, focus, and recovery. The product is formulated to be simple and clean, catering to individuals who prioritize real food ingredients and wish to avoid overly processed options.
The company, founded in 2015 by surfer Laird Hamilton and fitness icon Gabby Reece, is known for its commitment to using minimally processed, plant-based ingredients in its product line. Laird Superfood’s offerings extend beyond coffee-related items to include bars, prebiotic daily greens, and more, all designed to fuel active lifestyles.
The Laird Superfood Protein Instant Latte is priced at $19 for a package that provides six servings, which translates to approximately $3 per serving. It is available for purchase on the brand’s website, in Sprouts Farmers Market stores across the US, and will be sold on Amazon at a later date.
