The Affiliation for Dementia Research (ADS) has been a part of a current drive to make libraries throughout Worcestershire extra inclusive for individuals affected by dementia.

Worcestershire’s Library Service is delivering a two-year mission throughout its 21 library websites. Funded by the Nationwide Lottery through the Arts Council England, the ‘Memories and Me’ mission offers sources to assist individuals dwelling with dementia and their carers,  creating occasions and actions inside libraries and linking with organisations of their communities. The funding has allowed the service to introduce loanable Reminiscence Baggage that encourage dialog linked to cherished reminiscences which assist significant moments of connection.

As well as, ADS was commissioned by the service to coach 17 Dementia Ambassadors who will guarantee library areas are supportive, growing actions inside their libraries, and dealing with native companions to enhance signposting and entry to data for households impacted by dementia.
