The Highs, the Lows, and Finding Peace in the Pause

It’s been 6 months since my ACL reconstruction surgical procedure, and let me inform you, therapeutic isn’t any straight line—it’s a messy, winding highway stuffed with detours (and the occasional tumble).

Just a few weeks in the past, I bought a bit too formidable. 

Image me, deciding it might be an important thought to follow pushing right into a handstand from a headstand. Spoiler: it wasn’t. I fell (laborious), and let’s simply say my knee was not amused. It set me again a few weeks.

Quick ahead to this week, and I’m thrilled to report that for the primary time in 7 months, I hit pads with my boxing coach and even did some mild sparring—punches solely, no kicks, and a knee brace firmly in place. 

And WOW… the excessive I bought from that session? Higher than any road drug. 

The Highs, the Lows, and Every part in Between

However right here’s the catch: chasing that prime, whether or not it’s from boxing, operating, or hitting a giant life aim, is like making an attempt to carry onto water—it slips by means of your fingers.

For you? Possibly it’s one thing else completely. However no matter it’s, I hope this story reminds you to honor your physique, your thoughts, and your journey—messy, non-linear, and delightful as it’s.

As a result of true badassery? It’s not nearly hitting the pads or sticking the handstand. 

It’s about displaying up absolutely with curiosity and fierce compassion, and letting that be sufficient.
