The effects of trauma can be long-lasting and, in some cases, central to the onset of mental ill-health. Orygen’s Trauma and Youth Mental Health team focuses on the relationship between trauma and the development of mental health conditions, like psychosis. Orygen’s work has led to a new models of trauma-informed care, which are helping drive service improvements within youth mental health.
