Best-selling author and parenting expert Stephen Biddulph is stepping out of retirement for a one-off webinar to help people parent boys from tender babies to caring men.

The event, titled “Building Boys to be Loving, Happy and Strong”, will take place on Wednesday 23rd July from 7:00–8:20pm AEST, and is a unique collaboration with renowned youth advocate Michelle Mitchell.

Biddulph, whose groundbreaking book Raising Boys reshaped how we understand and support the development of boys, will join Mitchell to explore some of the most urgent and nuanced questions about raising boys today—from early childhood right through to adulthood. “There’s a lot for fathers to waken up their hearts and help them get confident,” said Biddulph.

The 80-minute session will focus on equipping adults with practical strategies and deep insights into the emotional and developmental needs of boys. Topics will include:

  • Why boys are so at risk—and how to help them love life

  • Understanding their unique timetable of development, to ensure adults stay on track with what boys need at each age

  • The three big stages of boyhood—including the often-overlooked final phase

  • Teaching boys to respect girls and themselves

  • Emotional intelligence—how to help boys understand and express their inner world

  • Role models—what they are, what they aren’t, and how to find good ones

  • Fathers and the father-wound—why many dads have struggled and how healing is possible

  • Support for single mums raising boys on their own

The webinar – or Masterclass as Biddulph describes it – is for anyone who lives or works with boys.

Michelle Mitchell says it is designed for private home use but she is offering the session “for very affordable prices” to community organisations or within a school context.

Each participant will receive a worksheet created by Biddulph, designed to support reflection and continued learning after the webinar. While the live session airs on July 23, ticket holders will be able to access the recording for six months, allowing them to watch (and rewatch) at their own pace.

The cost of the webinar is $35.00 AUD, and registration is now open at:
