Jack Woolley is feeling hot, hot hot.

Literally!

The Irish Olympian and taekwondo master recently wrapped up a vacation stateside in sunny South Beach, where he enjoyed some fun in the sun… and learned the value of sunscreen. “🔥 Miami beach is hot…I REPEAT, MIAMI BEACH IS HOT 🔥,” he posted on Instagram.

How about we take this to the next level?

“Swipe to the end to see what an HOUR, 60 MINUTES, at the beach does to an Irish Boy 🦞 #roasted”

The “before and after” pics are a sight to behold!

Woolley, 26, has celebrated Pride Month with a couple of solo trips in the U.S. He started his travels in New York City, where he enjoyed A+ views of the skyline from Central Park and wow’d at the hustle and bustle of Times Square.

A kid from the sleepy suburbs of Dublin, Woolley was a far way from home. Fortunately, he brought his camera to chronicle his adventures.

With a busy summer of travel ahead–he said on IG he has trips planned to Greece and Croatia, as well as some time back home in Ireland–Woolley promises to keep providing his fans with fun peeks at his daily life. It’s a different role for the trailblazing Olympian, who’s become more comfortable in the public eye.

Following a stint at the Paris Games, his star took off earlier this year with a sensational run on Ireland’s Dancing with the Stars. Woolley and his partner, Alexandra Vladimirov, placed second in the finale. They completed their run with an enthralling performance to a rendition of the Gaga classic, “Edge of Glory.”

The bop was an appropriate choice for the pair’s final performance, given they were on the cusp of victory. But little did viewers know, the song choice held a hidden meaning.

Woolley was on the cusp of his engagement! On St. Patrick’s Day, he got engaged to his boyfriend of four years, Daithi (Dave) Murphy.

Jack has spoken at length about Dave’s nurturing role in his life. They met shortly after he had returned from his Olympic debut in Tokyo, which was a dark time. Their romance started slowly, with ignored DMs and an awkward first date in a McDonald’s parking lot.

But over time, Woolley opened up. Dave helped him realize what’s truly important. “When I met Dave, I started to realize that life is short and I need to enjoy it. The only way to do that is be myself,” he previously told Queerty.

When Woolley started his athletic career, he was conditioned to keep his personal and private lives separate. But the rigorous training made him feel like a cyborg, programmed to excel at taekwondo and block out everything else, including his joy.

In a recent interview with an Irish outlet called Vhi, Woolley talked about how he’s started to open himself up to the world. His run on DWTS was a personal milestone and breakthrough.

“ I want to keep Jack Woolley the athlete and Jack Woolley the person separate… so it was really important for me to go out there and show that on the TV and kind of be a voice for those who are maybe starting to lose themselves or want to find themselves a little bit more,” he said.

Now residing in Spain, Woolley has been candid about the challenges of carrying on a long-distance relationship. He regularly posts about how much he misses Dave, always counting down to the next time they can be together.

“See you next week babyyyyyyyyyy ❤️,” he posted seven days ago.

For those counting down at home, that means Jack and Dave are together again at last. The physical distance between them is only proving the strength of their love.

Woolley wants to show other LGBTQ+ kids struggling with their identities and mental health that bliss is possible.

”I’m not just doing it for the fame, I don’t want to do it for the Instagram followers. Of course, that’s great, but I also wanna do it for young people and the next generation,” he said.

We look forward to more sizzling vacation pics from Woolley this summer, this time with Dave in frame.
