Honorary Fellow
Dr Katrin Gerber is a NARI Honorary Fellow. She is an end-of-life researcher with a PhD in Psychology from the College of Melbourne. Since coming to Australia as a world scholarship recipient in 2012, Dr Gerber has taught and researched subjects associated to ageing, end-of-life care and psychological well being on the College of Melbourne, the College of Tasmania and Queensland College of Expertise.
She is an RMIT Analysis Fellow with the Faculty of Media and Communication, in addition to an Honorary Fellow on the College of Melbourne. In acknowledgement of her work in palliative care, end-of-life decision-making, bereavement assist and psychological well being, she was nominated for a Nationwide Palliative Care Award as an rising researcher in 2019. Her ardour for end-of-life analysis stems from her work as a hospice volunteer and her private expertise as a household caregiver.
