Introducing The Ageing Agenda – The Ageing Agenda

6

Two of Australia’s longest-established aged care brands – Australian Ageing Agenda and Aged Care Insite – plus the equally respected Community Care Review are coming together to form The Ageing Agenda on 8 October.

The Ageing Agenda will build on decades of industry journalism to deliver a stronger, unified source of independent news, insights and analysis for the aged care and retirement living sectors.

Existing audiences can expect the same quality plus more coverage in a single destination.

Coming together allows the team to expand its reporting and offerings for people leading and working in organisations that support older people.

This includes articles, videos and events related to policy and best practice for home and community aged care, residential aged care, retirement living and allied health services.

The Ageing Agenda will also have a strong focus on positive ageing and how aged care and retirement living services can achieve better outcomes for older Australians.

In addition to an expanded website, The Ageing Agenda will publish regular digital newsletters – including dedicated newsletters for home care and retirement living stakeholders – and a print and digital magazine.

What is happening?

Australian Ageing Agenda, Aged Care Insite and Community Care Review will become The Ageing Agenda on 8 October.

The Australian Ageing Agenda website will be updated throughout the day on 7 October and launch as The Ageing Agenda the following day.

The new destination will combine the editorial and sponsored content from the three existing platforms, and previously published articles will continue to be accessible.

The URLs for Australian Ageing Agenda, Aged Care Insite and Community Care Review will automatically redirect to The Ageing Agenda.

Aged Care Insite and Community Care Review will send their final newsletters on Thursday 1 October. Australian Ageing Agenda will send its final newsletter on Friday 2 October.

The final editions of Australian Ageing Agenda magazine and Aged Care Insite magazine have been published – Winter 2026 and August–September 2026 respectively.

The first edition of The Ageing Agenda magazine is coming soon.

What can subscribers expect?

The Ageing Agenda will send an aged care and retirement living newsletter to digital subscribers every Monday and Thursday from 8 October. A dedicated home care newsletter will go out fortnightly with the first edition on Tuesday 13 October.

The Ageing Agenda team will also curate a monthly newsletter dedicated to the retirement living sector and another featuring the month’s most popular articles.

Existing newsletter subscribers across Australian Ageing Agenda, Aged Care Insite and Community Care Review do not need to resubscribe to continue receiving digital newsletters from The Ageing Agenda.

Similarly, subscribers to the existing print publications will automatically receive The Ageing Agenda magazine.

The magazine will be published quarterly in print and digital formats. The team is finalising the first edition now and it will be published this month.

The Ageing Agenda will build on the social media activity of Australian Ageing Agenda and Community Care Review. Existing accounts on LinkedIn and Facebook will be renamed.

The Ageing Agenda will be the new content hub for the annual Positive Ageing Summit, which is returning to Adelaide in May 2027. The collaborative event showcases evidence-based strategies for achieving better outcomes for older people in aged care and retirement living settings.
