Queensland Police are investigating a serious assault incident in Coomera on the Gold Coast yesterday, which left a 66-year-old security guard injured.
In a statement, Police said that at around 6.40pm, a security guard has approached a group of young people at a Westfield shopping centre on Foxwell Road.
“It will be alleged two young males have then assaulted the man,” Queensland Police stated.
“During the assault, the 66-year-old security guard has fallen to the ground and sustained a head injury.
“He was taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.”
Police are appealing for any information, witnesses or relevant vision that could assist the investigation.
