In an effort to problem prevailing stereotypes on ageing, and have fun the various actuality of rising older in Australia, the International Centre for Trendy Ageing® is delighted to announce a nationwide pictures competitors, in partnership with New Idea magazine.
Imagery of later life typically depicts two binary extremes, portraying older people as both exceedingly frail, or boundlessly energetic and adventurous.
Our competitors seeks to redress this imbalance, inviting older Australians to share photos and transient tales that authentically mirror the numerous, and real experiences of their day-to-day lives.
We’re providing $500 for the winner, and two prizes of $250 for runners-up.
