Frankly Bagels Norwood Reviews
A good place to eat breakfast or brunch slowly. The bagels are crisp outside and chewy inside, with simple fillings that taste better than they have any right to. I had my first Frankly Bagel two years ago at the original Prospect store, and this weekend I finally went to the Norwood one. Busy, properly busy. After ordering, we waited half an hour for the food. It’s a popular spot and it shows. I honestly didn’t expect it to be better than my first time, but it was.
The sweet bagel
I tried the blueberry cream cheese one. The fresh strawberry on top was good and the first bite was fine, but after a few more it turned dry and heavy, and I didn’t like the cream cheese. I’d skip it. Generally the flavours at Frankly lean sour or tangy rather than sweet.
Bacon and avocado
Bacon and avocado with herbs, aioli and toasted seeds. Best thing we ate. Plenty of bacon, creamy avocado, crunchy seeds on the bagel. Ordered this one.
The chicken salad bagel
Looks healthy, and eats like it. Half of it filled me up. Fresh and light, not heavy at all!
Spicy chicken and the Seoul Melt
The Spicy Chicken on the regular menu was a nice surprise, more than I expected. The Seoul Melt beef bagel, one of the September specials, was just okay for me. A bit of a letdown next to the others.

Coffee
The latte was fine. The September limited pandan latte came with a lamington, soft and chewy. As a big pandan fan, I’d rate the pandan flavour as above average. The Yuzu White was odd at first, the orange had a bitter edge, but it came together by the end and I ended up preferring it to the pandan. I still wouldn’t order it again.
Worth it
Go for the bacon and avocado. Frankly Bagels Norwood is at 88 Magill Road, Norwood SA 5067, in the Norwood Green complex, with a small seating area inside and outdoor tables. It opened in the summer of 2023 to 2024 as their second store and has an open bakery, so you can watch the bagels being made. Opening hours have changed over time, so check before you go.
