The Australian Nursing Home Foundation has appointed Dr Carmen Ng as its new chief executive officer.
Announcing the news on LinkedIn, ANHF said Dr Ng brings extensive experience across the not-for-profit, government and academic sectors.
She has dedicated much of her career to improving the lives of older people through innovative service models, community development and technology-enabled solutions.
She was most recently the social and elderly wellness director at the Hong Kong Housing Society – where she was responsible for the delivery of self-funded retirement housing, residential, home care and community support services.
Dr Ng has also held senior leadership positions with the University of Hong Kong’s Centre on Ageing, the Hong Kong Alzheimer’s Disease Association and the Hong Kong Government’s Community Investment and Inclusion Fund under the Labour and Welfare Bureau.
ANHF chair Ellen Louie said that Dr Ng brings “a wealth of expertise, strategic vision and passion for enhancing the wellbeing of older people.”
“We are delighted to welcome her to ANHF and look forward to her leadership as we continue to expand and strengthen our services for older Australians,” Ms Louie said.
She will begin in the role on 1 September, with former CEO Ada Cheng retiring from the role on 31 August after 21 years in the position.
